Welcome!

The Beaver Bank Homework Club (since 2014) is a private after school option, providing both academic support and quality care to students from Grade Primary to Grade Nine.

Goals of Homework Club

To provide young learners a funsafe, creative and inspired space to do their homework and spend time after school.

To provide a flexible, reliable childcare option to parents/guardians in the Beaver Bank (Nova Scotia) area.

To provide homework help and/or a tutoring option to students (in most subjects) as per the guidelines of the Nova Scotia Governmenthttps://www.ednet.ns.ca/docs/homeworkpolicy.pdf

Homework Club does Community Service

The Create and Donate Program allows students to (help) create art and donate it to organizations in our community. These items are added to raffle baskets, auction baskets or sold at fundraising bazaars. We accept requests from organizations and are especially happy when we can help local organizations. Homework Club members have proudly donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters Halifax, Our Social MarketBuilding Futures Employment Society, and private fundraisers.

Beaver Bank Homework Club
BBHC Create and Donate Item 2015-001 – One of two ABC Minion Boards created for Big Brother Big Sisters Halifax, using dough, glue, paint, wood, eye-hooks and ribbon for hanging.

For 2018 Homework Club painted small blocks of pine, finishing each side with a unique design and the entire piece with glow-in-the-dark glitter glue!!! We also celebrated our renewed love for rhythm and drumming marked by a donation of ten drumsticks with adornments. In 2019 we made a series of suncatchers and attached them to greeting cards for sale at Our Social Market.
